Demand Planning, Forecasting, and S&OP processes are fundamental to setting up a realistic Supply plan.
IBF, Institute of Business Forecasting & Planning (www.ibf.org), ), has for decades been the international reference association in this area and has created the CPF certification, Certified Professional Forecaster, known worldwide.
Advance has designed this Master to transfer specific knowledge in Demand Planning, Forecasting, and S&OP, based on the IBF BOK, and to prepare for the CPF®, Certified Professional Forecaster international certification exam.
The objectives of the course are:

The course includes:
- A classroom or Live Webinar training phase
- An individual study phase with remote instructor support
- Exam simulation with discussion of results.
Upon passing the internal exam, Advance school awards the CDPF (Certified in Demand Planning & Forecasting) certificate – Advance School.
By taking and passing the three exams required by IBF, the participant will achieve the international CPF (Certified Professional Forecaster) certification.
Teaching, learning material and IBF exams are in English. A good knowledge of English is therefore required.

– Learn how to structure a demand planning process to get the best results for your forecasting &

– Learn how the forecasting process impacts forecast accuracy and how to gain forecast buy in/acceptance within the organization.
– Learn how forecasts impact management decisions.
– Learn the types of forecasting to be considered in developing a demand planning process.
– Learn approaches to handling products and data patterns, which are easy to forecast, as well as those that are difficult to forecast.
– Learn when to use shipment forecasts, unit forecasts, revenue forecasts as compared to order (demand) forecasts.
– Learn the benefits of consumption based forecasting, also known as POS data forecasting.
2. The Demand Planning & Forecasting Process: Basics of Demand Forecasting and their Drivers for Operations / Supply Chain Planning:
– Learn what the bullwhip effect is, its effect on forecasting & planning, and how to prevent this from happening.
– Learn about the key drivers and the considerations in operations planning/ supply chain management, and the role forecasting plays.
– Learn about the related inventory and customer fulfillment issues that will be of concern to your company operations, and how to manage and hedge against them.

exam
In order to obtain the CPF certification (Certified Professional Forecaster), the candidate must pass 3 exams of 100-150 multiple choice questions, each to be completed within 2 hours.
Candidates will be taking all three exams in one day, consecutively, for 6 hours with 15 minute breaks in between.
The candidate must successfully answer at least 70% of the questions for each exam.
Requirements:
- University diploma and at least 1 year of professional experience in the field of Forecasting and Planning
or
- 2 or more years experience in Business Forecasting and Planning
