Globalization and growing customer expectations put pressure on logistics and distribution chain managers. Complex international contexts, as well as new technologies, require preparation and a “logistics culture” that only those with long field experience and international expertise can possess.
The CLTD program was created with the intention of bringing together the best international experiences in logistics, distribution, and transportation to create a program dedicated to logistics professionals able to provide: operational tools, best practices, experiences, and content to bring concrete solutions to companies.
The breadth of the course makes it possible to address in depth all issues related to logistics, such as the connection with the supply chain and new trends (lean logistics), warehouse and inventory management, transportation, global logistics (infrastructure, customs, etc.), distribution network planning, and finally reverse logistics. The goal is to provide participants with the broadest possible spectrum of knowledge in such a vast field.
The Master is based on the ASCM Body of Knowledge (BOK) and aims to:
- Transfer Best Practices in the Logistics Area
- Promote the transition from knowledge to competencies
- Prepare candidates for the international CLTD certification (Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution)
At the end of the course, participants can take the ASCM exam and achieve the prestigious CLTD certification.
The CLTD training is delivered in Live Webinar Flipped Class mode by certified instructor.
The Live Webinar Flipped Class is delivered in 13 sessions of 1.5 hours each, over a period of 6 months. This format is aimed at those who already have good experience in Logistics/Supply Chain and who want to systematize their knowledge with the international ASCM body of knowledge. Participants are required to do pre-reading before the session, to then go into depth with the instructor on some key concepts, depending on the needs of the class..
Upon request, Advance also offers in-house training programs tailored to organizational needs.
teaching plan
The course includes:
- A Live Webinar training phase

At the end of the course, the candidate can take the final exam in CBT (Computer Based Testing) mode at Pearson Vue test centers, coordinated by ASCM. The exam consists of a multiple-choice questionnaire.
Teaching, learning material and final exam are in English. A good knowledge of English is therefore required.
