Lean Thinking

Lean focuses on the Customer and therefore on elimination of waste, which is bringing no Value to the Customer.

J. P. Womack and D.T. Jones were the first who talked about “Lean Production” by observing the Toyota production System (TPS) which was designed and implemented between 1950 and 1960 by Taiichi Ohno.

The two authors studied and reported the Lean concepts in their famous book “Lean Thinking”, where they also reported success stories from companies which adopted the Lean philosophy.

In the last 20 years thousands of companies from manufacturing and service sectors have successfully implemented the Lean philosophy, achieving excellent results in terms of market share, Customer service, Cash and profit.
